Sheikh Hazem bin Saeed Haider Al-Saeed , also known as Hazem Al-Karmi ( February 18, 1964 in Tulkarm ) is a scholar, jurist and reciter, born in the Palestinian city of Tulkarm , He is a scholar in the field of Qur’anic sciences and interpretation , a reciter and teacher of the Holy Qur’an in the Prophet’s Mosque , and director of the Center Digital research to serve the Holy Qur’an and its sciences at the King Fahd Complex for the Printing of the Noble Qur’an in Medina .
His upbringing and educational attainment
Sheikh Hazem Saeed Haider Al-Saeed was born in the Palestinian city of Tulkarm on February 18 , 1964. He received his education in the schools of his city of Tulkarm . He memorized the Holy Qur’an from a young age and studied Tajweed in his city of Tulkarm . His grandfather Saeed Al-Karmi was a sheikh in the city of Tulkarm. , Sheikh Hazem Al-Karmi traveled to Medina in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to receive more Islamic sciences. He obtained high school there at the Scientific Institute, then joined the College of the Holy Qur’an at the Islamic University in Medina, where he studied the Ten Recitations , Quranic Sciences, Islamic Sciences, and Arabic Language Sciences.
After graduating, he joined the Department of Postgraduate Studies at the same university, and obtained a master’s degree with distinction in interpretation and Qur’anic sciences. Then he obtained a doctorate degree with first-class honors in interpretation and Qur’anic sciences from the same university. During that time, he read and received various readings and sciences outside the university, and in the Prophet’s Mosque from the scholars of Medina and elsewhere.
Practical experience
Teaching the Qur’an, readings, etc. at his home and in the Prophet’s Mosque.
Teaching the subject of the sciences of the Holy Qur’an and the subject of stopping, beginning, and intonation through explaining the Al-Jazariyya introduction system , in a course for preparing teachers of the Holy Qur’an at the Holy Qur’an Memorization Society in Medina from the year 1413 AH to 1417 AH.
Teaching in the Tajweed course held by the King Fahd Complex for the Printing of the Noble Qur’an at the Prophet’s Mosque.
Participations in seminars held by the King Fahd Complex for the Printing of the Noble Qur’an.
He participated in evaluating many of the research papers presented for seminars held by the Academy.
Evaluation of several research papers submitted to the Mosque Architecture Symposium held at King Saud University in Riyadh.
Evaluating many of the master’s and doctoral theses and books submitted for printing at the Academy.
Supervising the preparation of a dictionary ( index ) of works of interpretation of the Holy Qur’an issued by the Academy’s Scientific Affairs.
He participated in studying and investigating the book ( Proficiency in the Sciences of the Qur’an ) by Al-Hafiz Al-Suyuti, issued by the Scientific Affairs of the Academy.
Discussing several master’s and doctoral theses at Jinan University in Tripoli - Lebanon.
Presenting a course entitled: “Introducing the Noble Qur’an” at King Fahd Mosque, may God have mercy on him, under the organization of the Imam Al-Shatibi Institute in Jeddah .
A workshop within the activities of the Second International Conference for Teaching the Holy Qur’an “The Prophetic Approach in Teaching the Holy Qur’an” in Bahrain , entitled: (Ending and Beginning in the Book of God).

Sheikh Abdul Salam Habous Al-Masry: He memorized most of the Qur’an through his hands, according to the narration of Hafs on the authority of Asim from Al-Shatibiyyah .
Sheikh Ammar bin Tawfiq Al-Badawi: He received the knowledge of Tajweed from him in the city of Tulkarm in Palestine .
Sheikh Mahmoud bin Raji Hassan: He received the knowledge of Tajweed from him.
The scholar Ahmed bin Abdul Aziz Al-Zayat : He read to him in Cairo and then in Medina a final reading of the ten recitations by Al-Shatibiyyah and Al-Durrah, and another in Hafs on the authority of Asim from Al-Tayyibah, and he granted him permission for both of them, and he read to him some books of hadith , and Ibn Aqeel’s commentary on Ibn Malik’s Alfiyyah in grammar and the performance system in stopping and starting. Sheikh Muhammad Karim bin Saeed Rajeh (Sheikh of reciters in Damascus): He attended his lessons during his stay in Damascus, and he read the Qur’an to him according to the narration of Hafs from Al-Shatibiyyah, and he granted him permission to do so.
Sheikh Ayman Rushdi Suwaid : He recited Al-Jazariya to him in Jeddah, absentmindedly in one sitting, and he granted him permission to do so.
Sheikh Muhammad Tamim Al-Zoubi: He read to him some of the Tajweed explaining the Introduction to Al-Jazariyya, and he read to him a conclusion with the narration of Hafs on the authority of Asim from Al-Tayyibah and granted him permission to do so, and he recited to him the seven recitations individually and then collectively, until the end of Surat Al-Tawbah , but he did not complete it.
Sheikh Muhammad bin Saleh Al-Othaimeen : He attended his lessons in the Grand Mosque during Ramadan for several years.
Sheikh Abdel Fattah Al-Sayyid Ajami Al-Marsafi: He read to him some of the explanation of Al-Muqaddimah Al-Jazariyya in Tajweed, and he read a conclusion with the narration of Hafs from Al-Shatibiyyah, and he approved it, then he read to him the seven from Al-Shatibiyyah, summing up to the Almighty’s saying {And We prescribed for them therein} from Surat Al-Ma’idah .
Sheikh Muhammad al-Muntasir bin Muhammad Jaafar al-Kattani : He studied with him the explanation of Musnad Imam Ahmad in the Prophet’s Mosque, and approved him with his narrations in the hadith.
Sheikh Abd al-Rahman al-Bari: He recited to him Hafs from al-Shatibiyyah to the Almighty’s saying {Indeed, God has turned to the Prophet, and the Muhajireen, and the Ansar} from Surat al-Tawbah, but he did not complete it.
Sheikh Abu Al-Hasan Muhyi Al-Din Al-Kurdi (Sheikh of the recitation of Zaid bin Thabit in Damascus ): He read to him in Damascus the Holy Qur’an by Hafs on the authority of Asim from Al-Shatibiyyah to the end of Surat Al-Imran .
Sheikh Muhammad Ali Mishal: He read to him about jurisprudence , interpretation , and the principles of jurisprudence .
Sheikh Muhammad Awama : He read to him the term Hadith .
Sheikh Abdul Mohsen Hamad Al-Abad : He read to him from hadith books .
Sheikh Muhammad bin Nasser Al-Suhaibani: He read to him about jurisprudence and something about interpretation.
Sheikh Attiya Muhammad Salem : He read to him the book Al-Muqni’ by Ibn Qudamah, the explanation of Al-Muwatta’, and the principles of jurisprudence.
Sheikh Muhammad Al-Mukhtar bin Muhammad Al-Amin Al-Shanqeeti : He read to him the book Al-Umdah by Ibn Qudamah .
Sheikh Ali bin Saeed Al-Ghamdi: He read to him the book (Manar Al-Sabil Sharh Kitab Al-Dalil) by Ibn Dhuwayan.
Sheikh Abdullah bin Muhammad Al-Amin Al-Shanqeeti: He read to him the principles of interpretation .
Sheikh Muhammad Al-Mukhtar bin Muhammad Al-Amin Al-Shanqti: He read to him the rules of jurisprudence .
Sheikh Abdul Aziz bin Muhammad Othman: He read to him in interpretation.
Sheikh Ahmed bin Abdul Qadir Al-Qalash: He read to him about rhetoric , presentations, grammar , and literature , and some of the principles of jurisprudence from the book Al-Risala by Imam Al-Shafi’i .
Sheikh Bakri bin Abdul Majeed Al-Tarabishi : He recited the Qur’an to him from the beginning until the Almighty’s saying {the successful ones} in Surat Al-Baqarah with the ten minor recitations and permitted him to do so.
