Born in Nablus 1958; finished his primary education at the UNRWA schools; secondary education in Nablus; he then moved to Jordan where he received his BA in the Islamic Shari'a from the University of Jordan 1982, MA from An-Najah National University in Nablus 1996; he was a Muslim preacher and a leader, joined the Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas) after its establishment in 1987; appointed as secretary of the Palestinian Scholar's League in Nablus, arrested several times by Zionists in 1975, 1989, 1990 and 1991. Saleem was assassinated by an Israeli Apache while he was in the Palestinian Center for Studies and Media's office, on 31 July 2001.
