Muhammad Faiq Al-Jaafari (February 2, 2002 -) Jordanian national karate player. He began practicing karate in 2015 at Al-Thaer Sports Center under the supervision of his father, Faiq Al-Jaafari, a former player in the Jordanian national team.
His achievements
Al-Jaafari joined the Jordanian national team for the first time in 2018 and won the gold medal in the under-70 kg competition in the World Junior, Youth and Under-21 Championships, which took place in the Chilean capital, Santiago, in 2019, without scoring a single point against him in all the fights he fought.
In his first fight in the world championship, Mohammed Al-Jaafari won the round of 32 over Saudi Ahmed Al-Maliki with a score of 4-0, before defeating Brazilian Bertolassi Matheus, ranked fourth in the world at the time, with a score of 8-0.
“Al-Jaafari” continued his victories and won in the quarter-finals over Portuguese Milo Vasco with a score of 6-0 before defeating Cypriot Vassilios Loizos with a score of 3-0 in the semi-finals. In the final, Mohamed Al-Jaafari defeated Egyptian Hossam Ghanem to win the gold medal.
Muhammad Al-Jaafari also won a bronze medal in the Asian Junior, Youth and Under-21 Championship, which was held in Malaysia in 2019. In that year, “Al-Jaafari” succeeded in winning two silver medals in the World Youth League competitions, the Cyprus round and the Croatia round.
