Wurood Sawalha (November 3, 1991 in Asira al-Shamaliya ) is a Palestinian Olympic athlete from Asira al-Shamaliya in the northern West Bank . She participated in the 2012 London Olympic Games .

She began her career running through the streets of her town with a family member when she was 13 years old. Since then, she has collected many medals and local titles. She traveled to Qatar , Egypt , and Jordan to train for the Olympics; the West Bank lacks any equipped running tracks .
