Youssef Muhammad Abdel Halim Abu Samaan, a Palestinian athlete, born in 1987, was born in Libya, in the city of Benghazi, to parents of Palestinian nationality and identity. He is the champion of athletics in Palestine. He participated in the World Youth Championship in Beijing in 2006 and won many awards, and in the Arab Championship for Youth Athletics in 2006 in the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan. He has won many local championships, most notably the Martyr Yasser Arafat Cup. He is a graduate of Physical Education from Al-Aqsa University in Gaza, and has taken many training and arbitration courses specialized in athletics accredited by the International Federation. He is now working as a physical education teacher at Osama Bin Zaid Public School. He works as a sports coach in several clubs, and works as a sports coach for the physically challenged.
