The Palestinian student, Omar Al-Maaytah, will participate in the first episode of the new educational television program, "The Arab Reading Challenge", which will start on Friday evening.
The program presents through eight episodes, which are broadcast weekly on Friday at the same time, the final competitions between the champions of the fourth round of the 16th Arab Reading Challenge who won the challenge in their countries, leading to the selection of the champion of the challenge in the eighth and final episode, which is broadcast live.
The creation of the TV program comes as part of the fundamental modifications introduced by the “Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Global Initiatives” Foundation, under which the Arab Reading Challenge initiative falls under the mechanisms of the final competitions to choose the champion of the challenge, as it decided to convert the final competitions into a reality TV program that allows millions of viewers around The world is following up on the capabilities, talents and capabilities of the 16 students who reached the final stage of the competition in the fourth round, after being crowned champions at the level of their countries.
The Arab Reading Challenge program is the first of its kind in the cultural field in the reality TV format.
The program includes multiple challenges and competitions leading to the selection of five contestants by the jury for the final selection, which will be part of the closing ceremony of the Arab Reading Challenge broadcast live, which will witness the crowning of the champion of the fourth session, to win the grand incentive prize of half a million dirhams ($163,000 USD). Within the total value of the challenge prizes amounting to 11 million dirhams, and also includes the Distinguished School and Distinguished Supervisor awards at the level of the Arab world.
The viewers will have a date with the enjoyment of watching the competition of 16 crowned champions in 14 Arab countries, as they challenge each other and compete in the field of culture and knowledge, to choose the champion of the Arab Reading Challenge for this year, and these are: Emirati Muzna Najeeb, Mauritanian Umm Al-Nasri Mamin, and Tunisian Aya Noureddine The Algerian Naima Kabir, the Sudanese Hadeel Anwar Al-Zubair, the Jordanian Shaima Qahtan Ahmed Kazagaza, the Saudis Fahd Shuja Al-Habout and Jumana Saeed Al-Malki, the Moroccan Fatima Al-Zahraa Akhyar, the Egyptians Raneem Samir Hammouda and Shaima Ali Bassiouni, the Kuwaiti Abdulaziz Al-Khalidi, the Omani Sumayyah bint Sami Al-Mafarjiyeh, and the Palestinian Omar Al-Maaita Bahraini Bushra Abdul Majeed Asiri, and Lebanese Lubna Hamida Jamal Nasser.
The student, Afaf Al-Sharif, from Palestine, won the title of the second session of the Arab Reading Challenge, while the “Tala’i Al-Amal Secondary School for Girls” from Palestine won the “Distinguished School” award in the first session.
