Student Afaf Raed Sharif (17 years old) from Palestine was crowned champion of the Arab Reading Challenge in its second session during the ceremony held at the Dubai Opera. The eleventh-grade student Afaf at the “New Al-Bireh Girls School” won the reading challenge in the Arab world, snatching the title from among more than 210,000 male and female students. Afaf loves reading historical books and collections of short stories and poetry. During the challenge, she read 65 books.
Najla Al Shamsi, Secretary General of the Arab Reading Challenge Project, said: “The Palestinian students have been performing at distinguished levels since the first session of the challenge, and the same is true when talking about Palestinian educational institutions.
