The Palestinian young man, Wassim Jadallah Salim Abed, won the second prize in the Algeria International Award for Memorization, Tajweed and Interpretation of the Holy Qur’an in its sixteenth session.

The second winner received 800 thousand dinars ($6.68 thousand), competing against 48 Arab and international countries.

Waseem, a student at the Faculty of Economics and Business Administration at Birzeit University, had participated in many Qur’anic competitions in Kuwait, Dubai, Qatar, and other countries.
