Ibrahim Pasha Hashem ( 1886 - 1958 ) Jordanian politician . He is Ibrahim bin Muhammad Munib bin Mahmoud Hashim Al-Jaafari. Born in Nablus in 1886 AD. He holds a law degree from the Istanbul Law School .

 He worked in several positions in the Ottoman Empire , including judicial positions in Beirut and the Levant . He also taught at the University of Damascus between 1919 AD and 1921 AD. He was affiliated with the Young Arab SocietyIn Jordan, he held several positions, including Justice Advisor (Minister of Justice) in the first government of Ali Reda al-Rikabi. He also held the position ofDeputy Prime Minister in the fourth government of Samir Al-Rifai , and his most senior position was Prime Minister in five different governments, the first of which was in 1933 AD and the last of which was in 1957.

Also, he presided over the third and fourth Senates . As the Prime Minister of Jordan at the time, he assumed the position of Deputy Prime Minister of the Hashemite Arab Union and remained until the July coup ; He was killed in Baghdad during the events, and his body was lost and could not be identified. [1] It has several legal classifications.

 His first government is considered the second longest-lived government among Jordanian governments in history. It lasted four years, eleven months and nine days. The government formation included a member of the Legislative Council, Qasim Al-HindawiAs was customary at the time, he resigned in protest against the government’s approach. To be the first minister to resign of his own free will. [4] The government’s program was brief and included fulfilling the country’s constitutional demands and carrying out economic and security matters. [5]

His upbringing and studies

Ibrahim Hashem was born in the city of Nablus in Palestine in 1886 AD . He studied in Nablus before completing his university studies in Istanbul. He obtained a law school certificate in Astana in 1910 AD .

His professional work

Ibrahim Hashem was appointed Assistant Prosecutor General of Beirut and the Levant , and Judge of the Jaffa District during the Ottoman rule . He also served as Prosecutor General of Appeal of Syria , and President of the Court of Appeal. He also taught the subject of criminal rights at the University of Damascus during the Faisalid rule and the French mandate between the years ( 1919-1921 ) .

His ministerial work

During the era of the Emirate of Transjordan , he held the position of Justice Advisor and member of the Council of Advisors in the first Ministry of Ali Reda al-Rikabi in May 1922 , the position of Judicial Advisor in the Second Ministry of Mazhar Raslan on February 1, 1923 , and the position of Superintendent of Justice in the First Ministry of Hassan Khaled Abu al-Huda on September 5, 1923 . Then he was appointed Superintendent of Justice in the Second Ministry of Ali Reda Al-Rikabi on May 3 , 1924 , then Director of the Treasury in the Second Ministry of Hassan Khaled Abu Al-Huda on April 17 , 1927 . He was subsequently appointed Minister of Justice and Chief Justice in Hassan Khaled Abu Al-Huda's third ministry on October 17 1928 . [6]

Presidency of the Ministry

Ibrahim Hashem formed his first cabinet on October 18 , 1933 , where he held the position of Prime Minister, Minister of Justice, and Chief Justice, while he formed his second government on May 19, 1945 , where he held the position of Prime Minister and Minister of Defense. He also formed his third government on December 21, 1955 and served as Prime Minister. [6]

Then, on January 9, 1956 , Ibrahim Hashim became Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of State in Samir Rifai's fourth ministry. He then returned to form his fourth government on July 1, 1956 , where he held the position of Prime Minister. He also formed his fifth government on April 24, 1957 , where he held the position of Prime Minister and Minister of Justice. [6]

Presidency of the Senate

Ibrahim Hashem served as President of the Third Senate from 9/1/1951 to 10/31/1951 , and the Fourth from November 1, 1951to October 31, 1955 .

Deputy Prime Minister of the Hashemite Union

He assumed the position of Deputy Prime Minister in the Hashemite Union , which brought together the two monarchies in Iraq and Jordan from 1958 until the revolution of Abdul Karim Qasim in July of the same year.

His death

Ibrahim Hashem was killed in Baghdad , Iraq , in July 1958 AD during Abdul Karim Qasim’s revolution . He carried with others, from the Baghdad Hotel to the Ministry of Defense. As soon as they reached the door of the ministry, the demonstrators killed them. His body was lost and his burial place was not known
