Asma Abu Mazyed is a dedicated professional specializing in economic development and social inclusion. Currently employed by Oxfam, she focuses on gender, development, and climate change issues within the agricultural sector. Asma's research interests are diverse and encompass the care economy, women's group organizing in economic sectors, private sector social responsibility, and the intricate intersection of Palestinian political, agricultural, and environmental identities.
As a testament to her commitment to social change, Asma has actively engaged in various fellowships and initiatives. She served as a visiting fellow for the network in Gaza during the summer of 2022. Prior to this, she participated as a fellow in the Atlas Core program in partnership with President Obama’s Emerging Global Leaders Initiative. Additionally, she contributed to the Global Shaper - Gaza Branch initiative, an endeavor facilitated by the World Economic Forum. Notably, Asma also participated in the Mozilla Foundation Wrangler Dialogues titled “Technology in the Service of Social Mobility” in 2021.
