Lana Abu Hijleh is a Palestinian engineer and expert in the field of development and business, who was chosen among the most inspiring women in the world in 2015, according to the BBC channel London. 

Birth and upbringing

Born to us in Cairo, Abu Hijleh returned with her family to Palestine at the age of five. Our mother was killed during the Israeli occupation forces' invasion of Nablus in October 2002. 

Scientific and practical life

She studied engineering, has been working in the field of development and business for thirty years, and Lana Abu Hijleh is a member and volunteer in a number of private sector institutions, Palestinian and international non-governmental organizations.

Positions

Regional Director of Global Communities in Palestine, formerly called CHF International, and Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Palestinian Folklore Troupe.

Ranked among the most inspiring women in the world

During the third year that the BBC London is celebrating to better represent women, Abu Hijleh was named one of the hundred most inspiring women in the world for 2015.
