Zuhair Saleh Muhammad Al-Shin (July
31, 1958 in Tulkarm - ) is a Palestinian diplomat and politician. He is
considered one of the most prominent Palestinian diplomats. He is the
Palestinian ambassador to a number of countries and organizations around the
world. He holds a PhD in Business Administration.
His upbringing and education
Zuhair Saleh Muhammad Al-Shin was
born in the city of Tulkarem in the West Bank on July 31, 1958. He received his
primary, intermediate and secondary education in the schools of his city,
Tulkarem. The Israeli authorities placed him under administrative detention in
Tulkarem city prison, while he was a high school student, for his participation
in political activities in the city. He obtained a master's degree in business
administration from the University of Rajasthan in India, and then in 1990 he
obtained a doctorate in business administration from the same university.
