Nadim Salim Jries Al-Zaro (June 29, 1931 in Ramallah - February
28, 2014 in Amman) was a Palestinian-Jordanian politician who was dubbed the
"Knight of Ramallah." Al-Zero assumed the presidency of the Ramallah
municipality between 1964 and 1969. He also held several positions, including
Minister of the Interior for Municipal and Rural Affairs in the government of
Bahjat Al-Talhouni in 1970, Minister of Transport in the government of Ahmed
Al-Lawzi in 1972, and Minister of Transport in the first government of Zaid
Al-Rifai in 1973.
In 2016, the Ramallah Municipal Council decided to name a
multi-purpose hall in the Ramallah Recreational Complex after its name. The
city's municipality also gives his name to one of its streets.
