Talaat Al-Ghussain, a Kuwaiti
diplomat and politician of Palestinian origin, and the second ambassador to the
State of Kuwait in Washington from 1963 to 1970.
the biography
Talaat was born in the city of
Ramla in the State of Palestine, and he comes from a Ramlawite Palestinian
family. He graduated from the American University in Cairo in the forties after
the Nakba, and after the occupation of the city of Ramla, he traveled to work
as an English language teacher in Yemen, then moved to Kuwait in the fifties,
where he worked as an employee in the secretariat. The Kuwaiti government and
the Kuwaiti Construction Council, and in the sixties he moved to work in the
diplomatic corps (during the establishment stage of the Kuwaiti Ministry of
Foreign Affairs), where he was part of the Kuwaiti delegation formed to the
United Nations to seek independence, and he was part of the Kuwaiti embassy
mission in Washington, and he was appointed ambassador to Kuwait in the United
States from the year From 1963 to 1970, he was Kuwait's second ambassador to
Washington.
