Muhammad Muhammad Salim Ziyara (born June 26, 1956 in Al-Rimal neighborhood, Gaza ) is a Palestinian civil engineer who served as the Palestinian Minister of Public Works and Housing in the government of Muhammad Shtayyeh from April 13, 2019 to March 31, 2024.  He holds a PhD in Civil Engineering . 

Early life and education

Muhammad Muhammad Salim Ziyara was born in the Al-Rimal neighborhood of Gaza City on January 1, 1956. He joined Alexandria University in 1975 and obtained a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering in 1980. He obtained a Master's degree in Civil Engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology in 1982 and later obtained a PhD from Heriot-Watt University in 1993.

On November 25, 2019, the Palestinian News Agency reported that security services in the Gaza Strip detained Muhammad Ziyara at the Beit Hanoun checkpoint and confiscated his mobile phone, while he was returning to Gaza from Ramallah .
