1943, Jisr Almajama, Northern Jordan Valley, moved with family after the 1948 Nakbeh to Jordan. BA in Islamic History, Arab Uni. of Beirut and Economy from Yarmuk Uni. Jordan, study at Namkeen Military College in China1967, trained in Vietnam, and at College of Vistrel, Moscow 1978, extensive military background, command and participate in several military position including serving as commander for the Palestinian troops that participated in October War 1973 on the Egyptian front. Member of Fateh Central Committee 1989, return to Gaza in 1994 to serve as the head of the General Security, appointed the Palestinian Interior Minister 2003-2005.
