Omar Zuaiter was born in Nablus 1872, studied Arabic language Science in Nablus; taught in Al-Rashidiya School, contributed with others in establishing a society for resisting the government, elected as a member of the Board of directors of Nablus District 1914; elected as a representative member of Nablus in the General Assembly of Beirut Vila-yet 1915, he was appointed as mayor. Omar played a main role in establishing the Islamic Supreme Council instead of the mandate authorities, died and buried in Nablus 1924.
