Ata bin Khalil Abu Al-Rashtah (1943 AD / 1362 AH) Abu Yassin - is the Emir of Hizb ut Tahrir. He was born in Palestine in the village of Ra’ana in the Hebron district, and left it with his family after the establishment of the Jewish entity (Israel) on the blessed land of Palestine in 1948 AD, so his family moved to the city of Hebron, carrying Bachelor's degree in civil engineering, he was the official spokesman for Hizb ut-Tahrir in Jordan and now its emir.

He completed his primary and preparatory studies in Hebron, then completed secondary education, obtaining a first certificate - the Jordanian Turk - at Al-Hussein Bin Ali Secondary School in Hebron in 1959. Then he obtained the General Secondary Certificate - the Egyptian Tawjihi - in 1960 AD at the Ibrahimi School in Jerusalem. After that, he joined the Faculty of Engineering at Cairo University in the academic year 1960-1961 to obtain a bachelor's degree in civil engineering from the university in 1966. He worked as an engineer after graduating in a number of Arab countries.

Ata bin Khalil Abu Al-Rashtah joined Hizb ut-Tahrir during his preparatory studies in the mid-fifties. Imprisoned a few times, he became the official spokesman for Hizb ut-Tahrir in Jordan for several years. On April 13, 2003 AD (corresponding to Safar 11, 1424 AH), he became Emir of Hizb ut-Tahrir through party elections after Sheikh Abdul Qadim Zalloum stepped down, who died a few days later.
