Allam Musa (born March 25, 1966 in Arraba, Jenin) is a Palestinian engineer. He held the position of Minister of Communications and Information Technology within the Palestinian National Accord Government headed by Rami Hamdallah. He is currently the Academic Vice President of An-Najah National University.

 

Education and educational attainment

On March 25, 1966, Allam Saeed Anis Musa was born to a family from the town of Arraba, Jenin Governorate, in the northern West Bank. He received his school education in the town. He joined the Eastern Mediterranean University in Northern Cyprus to study electrical and communications engineering, from which he obtained a bachelor's degree in 1990, a master's degree in 1992, and a doctorate in 1996.

He worked as a teacher in the Department of Electronic Engineering at Al-Quds University and became its president in the period between 1999-2000, then he moved to work as a lecturer in the Department of Electrical Engineering at An-Najah National University, and also became its president in the period between 2002-2009. He was appointed Vice President for Planning, Development and Quality Affairs in 2009 and remained until June 2014.

 

On June 2, 2014, Allam Musa was sworn in as Minister of Communications and Information Technology and Minister of Transport and Communications. He remained Minister of Transport and Communications until the first cabinet reshuffle of the seventeenth government in July 2015.
