Rami Waled Kamel Hamd Allah (Abu Al-Walid; born August 10, 1958 in Anabta) is a Palestinian academic and politician. He was appointed on June 3, 2013 to form a new Palestinian government to succeed Salam Fayyad, and he was appointed again on May 29, 2014 to form the Palestinian national reconciliation government, and on March 10, 2019, Muhammad Shtayyeh was appointed to head the new government, as Rami Hamdallah’s government had submitted its resignation to President Mahmoud Abbas before 40 days.
Growing up and educational attainment
Hamdallah was born on August 10, 1958 in the town of Anabta in the Tulkarm District. He holds a doctorate in applied linguistics from Britain
Hamdallah graduated from the University of Jordan in 1980 and obtained a master’s degree from the University of Manchester in 1982. He then obtained a doctorate in applied linguistics from Lancaster University in Britain in 1988.
practical life
Hamdallah worked as a professor at An-Najah National University, where he taught English before becoming president of the university in 1998. He has served as Secretary-General of the Palestinian Central Elections Commission since 2002.
He served as Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Palestine Stock Exchange for three terms, the first between December 2003 and January 2006, the second between October 2008 and June 2013, and the last between May 2022 and August 2022.

Reactions to the 2013 government
After the Palestinian President assigned him to form the government; Reactions were mixed
Israel: considered him a “moderate” and “pragmatic” person.
Hamas: considered President Mahmoud Abbas’s assignment to form a new government illegitimate.
The United States: welcomed the words of its Foreign Minister and hoped to cooperate with him to achieve peace in the Middle East.
His resignation from the government in 2013
Palestinian Prime Minister Rami Hamdallah submitted his resignation on Thursday, June 20, 2013, less than two weeks after the new Palestinian government was sworn in before the Palestinian President. Hamdallah explained that the reason for his resignation was the infringement of his powers by members of the government.
He was reassigned to form the government again on September 19, 2013

On May 23, 2014, the delegations of Fatah and Hamas met in the Shati camp, which was later known as the Shati Agreement, as part of many attempts to achieve reconciliation and end the division after the Palestinian division in 2007. Among the points of agreement was the formation of a national government, which Hamdallah officially assigned to it on May 29 and announced its formation in a formal manner.
