Musa Kazem Al-Husseini (1853 - 1934). One of the prominent Palestinian figures in the first half of the twentieth century, he died in Jaffa on March 26, 1934.


his career
He studied in Istanbul, Turkey, and joined the Ottoman administration, which appointed him as head of Safed and Ajloun
He was appointed administrator in Anatolia, Transjordan, Najd and Asir
In 1918, he became mayor of Jerusalem
He led demonstrations in 1920 denouncing Britain's separation of Palestine from Syria and the fight against Jewish immigration, and because of that, the British governor dismissed him from his position and appointed Ragheb al-Nashashibi in his place.
In 1920, the Third Palestinian Arab Congress elected him as Chairman of the Arab Executive Committee, and he held this position until his death on March 27, 1934, as a result of an injury inflicted on him by British occupation soldiers during the Jaffa demonstration on October 27, 1933.
