Atef Abu Bakr is a Palestinian politician born in Yabad in 1946, graduated from the University of Baghdad; A contemporary and worked with the symbols of the Palestinian revolution, he held the position of director of the political department in the Fatah movement, and the former spokesman for the Fatah movement’s Revolutionary Council until 1989 when he led a split in the Abu Nidal group and has been living as a fugitive since then after Sabri al-Banna (Abu Nidal) issued ordered his execution.
