Tamer Al -Mashal (born on March 23, 1983 in Al -Shati camp, Gaza) is a Palestinian journalist and documentary filmmaker, who worked with the British Broadcasting Authority and working with Al -Jazeera, emerged while covering the Israeli wars on the Gaza Strip, then in a greater hidden program.
Facility and educational attainment
Tamer Hassan Ibrahim Al -Mashal was born on March 23, 1983 in Al -Shati camp, and he grew up in the Sheikh Radwan neighborhood, north of Gaza City, for a refugee Palestinian family from the village of Al -Joura, Ashkelon, as a result of the Nakba War in 1948.
He received his primary and preparatory education in the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestinian Refugees in Gaza, then completed his high school in the model school for talented students established by President Yasser Arafat in 1998 within the scientific branch. He joined the Islamic University in Gaza with the outbreak of the second Palestinian intifada and studied the media, where he obtained a bachelor’s degree in 2004 with a degree of excellence. He left for the United Kingdom and obtained a master’s degree in international media from Westminster University in 2007 with a privilege.
Media life
Al -Mashal began his media life as a trainee, a university student in an office of the Palestinian newspaper Al -Quds in Gaza, then moved to the British Broadcasting Corporation office in 2001 before becoming a news producer and a translator in the international section, and in 2006 he was appointed as a reporter from Gaza to the Arab section of the authority.
In March 2008, he joined the Al -Jazeera channel, a reporter from the Gaza Strip. The survey emerged during its participation in coverage of the Israeli wars on the Gaza Strip in the years 2008, 2012 and 2014, in addition to covering the effects of the Israeli siege on the Gaza Strip through the production of multiple direct stories and coverage.

In 2012 and 2014, Al-Mishal won the Best Arab Correspondent award from the Young Arab Media Forum.
In 2015, the British Cambridge International College of Languages awarded him an honorary master's degree in Business Administration in recognition of his excellence and media creativity in his various coverages and his role in developing the capabilities of young Palestinian media professionals.
