Born in Yafa 1920, finished his education in Ramallah 1937; joined the American University of Beirut (AUB) but he did not continue his studies because he was arrested by the French Forces in Beirut as a result of his affiliation to the Arab Nationalist Movement; he then moved to Cairo and received his BA in Journalism from the American University of Cairo (AUC) 1945, worked with the International Relief Organization for three years; founded a TV production foundation in Beirut.
