Jihad Youssef Ahmed Saleh Abu Shanab, a Palestinian journalist, was born in Cairo on October 15, 1979. His origins are from the village of Jiyeh, the district of the Palestinian city of Majdal. He is a former player in the Qatari Al-Ahly Club, and he is currently working as a broadcaster and reporter for Al-Jazeera Sports Channel.

He completed his primary, preparatory and secondary studies in Qatar during his stay there before traveling to Syria to complete his university studies in the Department of Media at the University of Damascus, graduating in 2002
The jobs he held
