A Palestinian director who was born in Yafa, emigrated with her family to Beirut during al-Nakba (1948); studied at the French Press Institute; received her PhD in Media Science from the University of Paris II; worked as a journalist and producer at the French Radio and Television Broadcasting in Beirut. Mareiz lived between Paris and Beirut.
