Khaled Bardawil, a 23-year-old engineering student in the Gaza Strip, created a prototype of a solar-powered car.

The Strip suffers from a shortage in fuel and electricity supplies, and power outages disrupt daily life in Gaza and paralyze companies and businesses, with many stores forced to reduce operating hours to save on electricity spending.

Mikati and Bardawil's solar car is expected to provide some relief in the problem of energy shortages, but they are finding it difficult to find the spare parts needed to build the car in Gaza.
