Fadi Al-Batsh ( 1983 - April 21, 2018 ) is a Palestinian scholar from the city of Jabalia in the Gaza Strip . He holds a doctorate in electrical engineering and lectures at the University of Kuala Lumpur .
He has a patent for increasing the efficiency of electrical power networks. He also invented a device for improving electrical power transmission. He is considered one of the first initiators in establishing the International Association of Palestinian Engineers in Malaysia. He is considered a memorizer of the Holy Qur’an and has a chain of transmission connected to the Messenger of God. He had workshops for memorizing the Holy Qur’an in mosques. Malaysia.
Personal life
Married and leaving behind a wife and three children, Israel accused him of being behind the development of the drones and guided missiles project for the Qassam Brigades .
His assassination
On April 21, 2018, the Malaysian police said that two unidentified persons riding a motorcycle fired ten bullets at university professor Fadi Al-Batsh as he was heading to dawn prayers in a mosque located near his residence in the capital, Kuala Lumpur , killing him instantly. The Malaysian police chief said that Fadi had been targeted.
The Batsh family in Gaza accused the Israeli intelligence agency (Mossad) of being behind the incident, and Reuters quoted the Malaysian Deputy Prime Minister as saying that the perpetrators of Batsh’s assassination were linked to foreign intelligence; he confirmed that the perpetrator was from the Caucasus and that they would ask the International Police to track down the perpetrators of Batsh’s assassination.

He was awarded the prestigious Khazanah Scholarship Award 2016 from Malaysia after obtaining his PhD in Electrical Engineering, specializing in Power Electronics, from the University of Malaya, Malaysia.
