Professor Dr. Ghassan Safarini , a faculty member in the Department of Physics at An-Najah National University, was born in Tulkarm in 1955. He is a scientist, researcher, and teacher. During his career, he presented many scientific researches in the fields of practical condensed state physics, radiation physics, and solid detectors. Most of his research was published in international scientific journals. It has a good impact factor and has provided tangible results on the ground, making him one of the most important researchers in his precise field of specialization, not only at the local level but also at the global level.

Professor Dr. Saffarini obtained a bachelor’s degree in physics from the University of Jordan in 1977, and completed his master’s degree in physics at the University of Manchester in 1980. He also obtained a doctorate from Brunel University in London in 1991 in the field of (practical condensed state physics).

In 1997, he obtained the rank of associate professor after publishing research in the field of practical condensed state physics, and he reached the rank of professor in 2003 after presenting research in the same field of his specialization as well.
