Fadi Al-Batsh (1983 - 21 April 2018), is a Palestinian scholar from Jabalia, in the Gaza Strip. He holds a PhD in Electrical Engineering and lectures at the University of Kuala Lumpur. He has a patent for increasing the efficiency of electric power networks. He also invented a device to improve electrical power transmission. On April 21, 2018, the Malaysian police said that unidentified persons riding a motorbike had fired 10 bullets at university professor Fadi al-Batsh while he was on his way to the dawn prayer at a mosque located near his residence in the capital, Kuala Lumpur, killing him instantly.
