He holds a Bachelor's degree in Library and Information Science from Al-Mustansiriya University in Iraq (1994). He has worked at the Palestine Polytechnic University Library since 1994, and has served as its director since 1997.
 He has participated in several international courses on electronic libraries in Germany and Egypt.
 
His extensive experience in the library profession includes his election as President of the Palestinian Library and Information Association for the 2010 term. He has also conducted numerous lectures and workshops on specialized and electronic libraries, as well as courses for school librarians in cooperation with the National Institute for Educational Training, and courses for children's libraries in cooperation with the Ministry of Culture. He has also engaged
 
in collaborative activities with Palestinian university libraries. Furthermore, he has been active in union activities , serving on the administrative board of the Palestine Polytechnic University Employees' Union from 2000 to 2005, and then as the union's secretary from 2008 to the present. He is also the secretary of the Palestinian Center for Training and Development Association and a member of several institutions and clubs in Hebron Governorate.
