Hanan Hamed Muhammad Al-Hroub is a Palestinian teacher who won the award for the best teacher in the world, which was launched by the Fairkey James Foundation, which specializes in the development of education, in its second session of 2016 AD, after the American teacher Nancy Atwell won the first session in 2015 AD, and she received the prize of one million dollars from Sheikh Muhammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum.

Hanan Al-Hroub was born in Dheisheh camp to a Palestinian refugee family in 1948. She graduated from Dheisheh Girls School in the scientific branch. She completed her undergraduate education at Al-Quds Open University and studied elementary education.

She is now working as a teacher at Samiha Khalil Elementary Mixed High School in Ramallah and Al-Bireh Governorate.

On June 5, 2016, Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas awarded her the title of Honorary Ambassador of Palestine for Creative Education.
