Osman Al-Tal is an Associate Professor with a Ph.D. in Islamic History from the United Kingdom (Britain) and currently holds a position as an Associate Professor in the Department of History at the Faculty of Arts. He began his tenure at the college in 2005, where he teaches courses in ancient history and Islamic history, with a focus on the history of Jerusalem throughout the ages. He has served on various college committees and chaired the History Department from 2010 to 2012, and again from 2018 to 2020.
Dr. Al-Tal has participated in the examination of approximately 20 master's theses at both An-Najah National University and Al-Khalil University. He also contributed to the development and supervision of the Palestinian New Social Studies Curriculum for the academic year 2017-2018 under the auspices of the Ministry of Education and Higher Education in Palestine. He has taught courses on Islamic thought and contemporary Palestinian history at Al-Quds University.
Furthermore, Dr. Al-Tal is a member of several private institutions, serving as a general member and former administrative member of the Al-Thahiriyah Youth Sports Club and a former member of the local committee for the rehabilitation of the disabled in Al-Thahiriyah. He is also a general member of the Palestinian Union of the Disabled (People with Special Needs).
Dr. Al-Tal has published approximately 20 peer-reviewed research papers in both Arabic and English languages. He has been acknowledged multiple times by the Deanery of Scientific Research at the university for his contributions to publishing research papers in reputable journals, with the most recent acknowledgment during the academic year 2020-2021.
