Hani Nouraldin is an Assistant Professor who obtained his Ph.D. from the Graduate School of Historical and Linguistic Studies at Sorbonne University in Paris in 1997, specializing in the pre-Classical ancient East with a focus on Bronze Age palaces. He teaches at the Institute of Archaeology and also heads the Unit of Jerusalem Archaeological Studies.
His research interests revolve around the cultural history of Palestine during the Bronze and Iron Ages, with a particular emphasis on tracing the various aspects of cultural and civilizational continuity through the study of material culture from those periods.
He has supervised several archaeological excavations, most notably at Tel el-Tell/Deir Dibwan from 2003 to 2007, and excavations in the town of Sebastia since 2008 until the present time.
