Education
Mahmoud Asad earned his Ph.D. in the improvement of combustion and fire modeling and simulation from the University of Manchester in the United Kingdom, from 2009 to 2014. He also obtained a Master’s degree in Thermal Energy and Fluid Engineering from the same university, with his thesis titled "Stereo Imaging of the Dynamic Ignition of Flames in Gas Turbines" from 2008 to 2009. Prior to that, he completed his Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering at An-Najah National University in Palestine, with his thesis on "Medical Waste Incinerator with a Distilled Water Production System," from 2002 to 2007.
Professional Experience
Mahmoud Asad has held several distinguished positions. From June 1, 2016, to August 1, 2017, he worked as a Consultant Engineer in Fluid Engineering and Thermal Sciences (Computational) at Conserve Engineering Consultants in Italy. He served as a Research Fellow at the University of Manchester in the United Kingdom from November 1, 2013, to December 31, 2016. Prior to that, he was a Research and Teaching Assistant at the University of Manchester from October 1, 2009, to October 1, 2013. He also worked as a Visiting Researcher at Électricité de France in France from October 1, 2011, to December 25, 2011. At the beginning of his career, he was a Research and Teaching Assistant at An-Najah National University in Palestine from August 15, 2007, to May 10, 2008.
