Dr. Abdel Halim Khader is an Associate Professor in the Department of Civil Engineering at the Faculty of Engineering and Information Technology at An-Najah National University since 2013. After graduating from Utah State University in the United States with a PhD in Civil and Environmental Engineering in 2012, Dr. Khader joined McMaster University in Canada as a postdoctoral researcher.
In addition to supervising master's theses and graduation projects, Dr. Khader teaches many courses at the master's and bachelor's levels. Examples of these courses include: Environmental Engineering 1 and 2, Geographic Information Systems, Principles of Scientific Research and Technical Writing, Air Pollution Control, MATLAB Programming, and Statics.
Dr. Khader has worked on several research projects in the fields of air pollution, using radio tower signals to obtain rainfall distribution, and designing groundwater pollution monitoring networks. In addition, Dr. Khader has provided consulting services for some local projects.
Dr. Khader's research interests include: air pollution, water and wastewater treatment, hydrological process modeling, information value, and statistical computer learning.
