Abdullah Saleh Kalbouna was born in Nablus in 1952. He studied in Nablus schools and received his high school diploma in 1972. He earned a bachelor's degree in archaeology from the University of Baghdad in 1978. He worked in the Department of Islamic Antiquities at the General Directorate of Waqf in Jerusalem. From 1985 to 1990, he served as the curator of the Islamic Museum located in the Al-Aqsa Mosque compound. He was also responsible for Waqf properties at the Nablus Governorate Waqf Directorate.
Since 1997, he has been the Director of Antiquities for the Nablus Governorate. He contributed to the book "Treasures of Jerusalem," published by the Arab Cities Organization. He authored the book " History of Nablus," published in 1992. His master's thesis, "The Archaeological Mosques in the City of Nablus," was submitted to Al-Quds University in 1999. He published three articles and research papers on Islamic shrines in Palestine in Al-Fajr Al-Adabi magazine in 1984. He also published fifteen archaeological articles in Al-Quds newspaper between 1985 and 1986. He published thirty-five archaeological and heritage research papers and articles in (Nablus Newspaper) 1992-1995.
