Dr. Adel Said Zagha was born in Nablus, the Dean of Faculty of Commerce and Economics and assistant Professor of Economics, teaching different undergraduate and graduate courses. He holds a Ph.D. in Economics from Berlin's Free University in Germany and an MA in Economics from Vanderbilt University, USA. He took several scholarships, including the DAAD PhD Scholarship and the AMIDEAST Masters Scholarship.
Dr. Zagha is an active member in several local and professional societies, including the Palestinian Economists Association in Palestine. He is also the founding member and vice-President of the Institute of the Middle East Studies Al-Mamun (IMSAM), Greece. He is currently head of the Palestine National Training Unit for the Near East Management Training in Agriculture (NEMTA).
Dr. Zagha has made dozens of publications, including, of late, "The Palestinian Trade Policy Options", with Mahmoud Al-Ja'fary and Naser Al-Arda, (MAS: Ramallah), 2002. He is also the author of several books and has written chapters in books as well as editorials. His forthcoming work is on "Trade and Economic Relations", in Final Status Negotiations: Economic and Trade Co-operation: A Palestinian Perspective, edited by Dr. Mohammad Shtayyeh. Moreover, he has participated in a number of international and local conferences as well as workshops.
Dr. Zagha made several studies and reports, including developing a new strategy for financing Palestinian higher education.
