Dr. Zaid Kilani was born in Nazareth, Palestine. At the age of 12 his parents were forced to migrate to Lebanon and finally to Jordan because of the war in Palestine.
He obtained his primary education from Amman, Jordan. Although he initially enjoyed a passion for architecture, Dr. Zaid was persuaded to pursue a career in medicine by his father whom dream was to have a son becoming a doctor.
He received his medical degree from the University of Goettingen back then in West Germany in 1964. After graduating from medical school, Dr. Zaid headed to England for further training. He decided that obstetrics and gynaecology was a passion he wanted to pursue. He trained in Addenbrookes Hospital in Cambridge and St. Bartholomew's Hospital in London before returning back to Jordan.
Dr. Zaid is a fellow of the Royal College of Gynaecologists (FRCOG) and is involved in the publishing many scientific papers and has contributed in the writing of several books. He is an international speaker and is involved in particiating and organizing several conferences.
He was awarded the following awards in recognition of his contribution and achievements in the field of obstetrics, gynaecology and assisted reproduction:
