Saleh Abdel-Gawad (1952- ) is a Palestinian writer and historian. He holds a doctorate in political sciences from the University of West Paris, Nanterre La Defense, in 1986.

His upbringing and educational attainment

Saleh Abdul-Jawad was born in the city of Al-Bireh in the Ramallah and Al-Bireh Governorate. He was educated there. He obtained a BA in political science from Cairo University in 1974, then a master's degree in 1979, and finally a doctorate in political science from the University of West Paris, Nanterre La Defense, in 1986.

During his work at Birzeit University, Saleh Abdel-Gawad held several positions, including two terms as Head of the Department of History and Political Science, Director of the University Research Center and Dean of the Faculty of Law, Public Administration and Political Science.
