Maryam Khalil Salem Al-Saifi (1945) Palestinian poet. I was born in Al-Walaja, in the district of Jerusalem. She studied in Amman, and graduated from the Arabic language department of her university in 1968. She obtained a diploma in education from Kuwait University. She worked as an Arabic language teacher in Saudi Arabia, Kuwait and Jordan. She has a monthly literary forum in her home in Amman.
Maryam Khalil Salem Al-Saifi was born in the year 1365 AH / 1945 AD in Al-Walaja, in the Jerusalem district of Palestine. Her brother is Mustafa Al-Saifi. She emigrated from it to Jordan following the Nakba in 1948. She studied in Amman, completed her high school education in its schools, and graduated from the Department of Arabic Language at the University of Jordan in 1968, then she obtained a general diploma in education from Kuwait University in 1978.
She worked as an Arabic language teacher in Saudi Arabia and Kuwait for seventeen years and returned to Jordan in 1990, where she taught. She also worked as the editor-in-chief of the Jordanian “Al-Shiraa” magazine from 1996 to 1999, and she has been the owner of the literary salon since 1987, and a member of the Jordanian Writers Association, the General Union of Arab Writers and Writers, the General Union of Palestinian Writers and Writers, the Palestinian Teachers Union, and a member of the Teachers Committee of the International Relief Agency. And a member of the International Support Committee for Iraq.
