Waleed Ibrahim Ahmad Ibrahim Saif
(January 19, 1948 in Tulkarm) is a Palestinian writer and author of television
dramas, poet, critic and academic. He was born and raised in the Palestinian
city of Tulkarm. He is one of the most prominent authors of historical drama.

His upbringing and life
Waleed Ibrahim Ahmed Ibrahim Saif
was born in the city of Tulkarm, Palestine, on January 19, 1948. He was born
and raised in a house that is only a short distance from the downtown area of
Tulkarm; Saif talked about his house on the ninety-seventh page of his book
"The Witness", saying it is "the house in which I was born and
raised".
He received his primary,
preparatory, and secondary education in the schools of his city, Tulkarem, and
among these schools was Al Fadhiliya School, Al Omariya School, and others, and
he completed high school in his city.
He joined the University of Jordan
in October 1966, where he obtained a BA in Arabic Language and Literature, and
a PhD in Linguistics from the School of Oriental and African Studies at the
University of London in 1975 AD. After this date, he worked as a lecturer in
the Department of Arabic Language at the University of Jordan for three years
before leaving the department to work as a full-time writer for TV dramas. He
has worked in the Syrian TV drama.
Since 1987, he has worked as
Director of Educational Production at Al-Quds Open University, whose
preparatory programs he helped prepare.

Dr. Walid Seif is married to Dr.
Iman Mahmoud Ibrahim Seif, and he has three children: Minister Khaled Walid
Seif, Liana, and Laila.

His poetic writings
Walid Seif's poetry draws attention
to the seriousness of its poetic subject and the originality of its approach,
and many poets acknowledge the influence of his poetry on them. To date, he has
published three collections of poetry:
Poems in the Time of Conquest, 1969.
A tattoo on Khadra's arm, 1971.
“The Westernization of the Children
of Palestine,” in 1979.
In addition to my poems “Searching
for Abdullah Al-Bari” and “Love Again”.Nabil Muhammad Ahmad al-Lahham (October
15, 1956 in Shati refugee camp - April 3, 2013 in Prince Hamzah Hospital,
Amman) was a Palestinian diplomat and orthopedic surgeon. He was the ambassador
of the State of Palestine between 1995 and 2004 to Uzbekistan.
His novels
The book “The Witness: A Biography
and Intellectual Reviews” was published in 2016, and it is a fictional account
of his biography, in which Walid Saif talked about his birth in his city
Tulkarm, and his daily life among the trees, streets and neighborhoods of his
city Tulkarm, up to his dramatic life.
The book “Bahrain Forum”, a novel,
was published in 2019.
The book “Cordoba Appointments”, a
novel, was published in December 2020.

Walid Seif has won a large number of
awards and honors, most notably:
Cairo Radio and Television Festival
Award, for several years, including 2002, 2003, 2004, 2011, and other years.
Tyche Award, for Best Screenplay and

Personality of the Jerusalem
Intellectuals Forum Festival and the Zahrat al-Madaen Festival for the year
2021 (the fourteenth forum), from the Palestine Liberation Organization and the
General Union of Palestinian Writers and Writers.
The King Abdullah II Medal for
Distinction of the High First Class, which is one of the highest royal
Jordanian decorations, as King Abdullah II bin Al Hussein awarded him at the
Royal Husseiniya Palace on May 25, 2022, in appreciation of his great role in
the historical drama.
The cultural personality of the
Amman International Book Fair for the year 2022, as the 21st session of the
fair, which was held in September 2022 in the Jordanian capital, Amman.
State of Palestine Appreciation
Award for the year 2022, on December 22, 2022, from the State of Palestine
represented by its President Mahmoud Abbas.
He was awarded the title of
"Guest of the Year 2022" from the Abdul Hameed Shoman Foundation,
during a ceremony honoring him in the Jordanian capital, Amman, on February 18,
2023.
