The Palestinian activist's novel "Maryam Zaqout" won first place in the Arab Radio and Television Festival in Tunis, within the main radio program competition.

Zaqout had previously ranked second as the best female figure in civil and community work in the Arab world.

She also won the "Woman of Palestine 2017" shield as the best Palestinian feminist figure in the field of national institutional work.
