The Eurovision Song Festival witnessed the rise of a Palestinian youth to the final of the Ukrainian national qualifiers for the competition.

Young artist Andrei Khayyat, of Palestinian origin, competed in the finals of the national competition to represent Ukraine at the Eurovision Song Festival.
