Maysoon Asadi (1963-2023) is a Palestinian writer and writer , born in the Upper Galilee village of Deir al-Assad and died in Haifa . She worked in journalism and published several literary works.
Her life
Maysoon Asadi was born in the village of Deir al-Assad in the Upper Galilee in 1963. She studied high school at Al- Rama School , graduated from it in 1981, and obtained a bachelor’s degree in 1984 in the subjects of history and education . In 1992, she obtained a diploma in written journalism from Tel Aviv University. In 1994, she started working for Al-Ittihad newspaper , and in 1997 she obtained a bachelor's degree in social work from the University of Haifa , and she holds a postgraduate degree in media from the American " Clark University ". She is a mother and married to the artist, Osama Masri, and they have two sons. [2]
She died in Haifa on June 29, 2023 due to an incurable disease .

She won the Al-Awda Award for her story “The House of Homes” in 2008. She also won the Arab Woman Award in Jaffa in 2010, and she won an award for her story “The Shipment of Hope,” which tells the story of Palestinian refugees. In 2023, she won the Manf Prize for Arabic Literature .
