Umayya Fayez Juha is a Palestinian artist and cartoonist, born in Gaza City on February 2, 1972, winner of the Arab Journalism Award for 2001, and many other artistic awards, and she is the first illustrator in the Arab world working in daily political newspapers and news sites, and she is a painter in Al Jazeera Net - the most famous Arab news site - and has a special page on the site, and the wife of two martyrs.
Education
She graduated from the Department of Mathematics at Al-Azhar University in 1995 with distinction with first class honors at the university.
First Arab female cartoonist
Umayya is the first female cartoonist in Palestine and the Arab world to work for a political daily newspaper. She participated in many local exhibitions, including the caricature exhibition entitled "Returnees" on September 27, 2005, in the city of Khan Younis in the southern Gaza Strip, celebrating the Israeli withdrawal from the Gaza Strip.
Work and memberships
She worked as a mathematics teacher for three years and resigned in 1999 to devote herself to artistic work.
She has worked as a cartoonist for Al-Quds Daily since September 1999.
She is a member of the Naji Al-Ali Society for Fine Arts in Palestine.
She works for political daily newspapers, news websites, and chairs Juha Toon cartoon company.
Member of the jury of the Second International Competition for Jerusalem Caricature, in Istanbul, organized by the Turkish Association "Our Heritage" and the "World Federation of Cartoonists" (UWC).

Awards
1999, she won first place in the governorates of Palestine with caricature in the feminist creativity competition held by the Palestinian Ministry of Culture.
2001, won the Arab Journalism Award in the United Arab Emirates.
2010, she won the Grand Prize in the Naji Al-Ali International Caricature Competition, organized by the Palestinian People's Solidarity Association in Turkey in cooperation with the Humur Group for humor and caricature. on 28 November 2010
