Ibrahim Yahya al-Shihabi (born 1933 in Lubya , Palestine ) is a Palestinian writer who was educated in Palestine and then in Syria. He obtained a BA in English Language and Literature from Damascus University in 1959, a BA in Translation, and a PhD in International Political Relations from California, USA, in 1984. He has worked as a lecturer at Damascus University since 1983, and as Director General of the Palestinian National Council since 1983. He is a member of the Translation Association of the Arab Writers Union. He has published a number of short stories, articles, and various studies in various Syrian and Arab magazines.
