He began writing poetry at a young age, publishing his poems in various newspapers and magazines, especially "Al-Ittihad" newspaper, "Haifa" newspaper, "Al-Ghad Al-Jadeed" magazine, "Al-Sharq" and "Mawaqif".
He participated in numerous local, national, and international poetry festivals in several Middle Eastern and European countries, and gave radio and television interviews...

He is married to his nanny, Insaf, and has two sons, Shadi (a lawyer) and Rabi' (an engineer), as well as three granddaughters and two grandsons.
His poems have been translated into English, French, and Hebrew, and his English poems have appeared in a special anthology published by an American university.

He has a collection of intellectual essays published in the book *The Discourse of the Pen*.
He received the "Jerusalem Award for Culture and Creativity" from the Palestinian Ministry of Culture in 2016 and the title of "Poet of Humanity" from the Federico II Academy of Poetry in Naples, Italy.
