Abd al-Latif al-Taybawi was born in al-Taybeh in 1910. He studied at the Amiriya School of Tulkarm, then at the Teachers' House in Jerusalem. In 1925, during his studies, he won a prize for a competition prepared by (Al-Hilal) magazine for the best article. He joined the American University of Beirut and obtained a BA in History and Arabic Literature in 1929, with which he won the Monard Prize. He was appointed as a professor of history at Ramleh High School, then was promoted as a private secretary to the Director of General Education, to an assistant inspector in Jerusalem. He received his PhD in Philosophy from the University of London. He published articles on multiple topics in his specialization. The University of London granted him a full-time (professor-research) degree to study British cultural and religious landmarks in Palestine. Harvard University in the United States invited him to produce a book about its cultural and religious interests in Syria. The University of London awarded him a Doctor of Arts degree as a reward for his scientific effects. - He published dozens of articles and reviews in history, literature, education, and classified books that were characterized by depth and comprehensiveness in the language.
