Born in Jaffa (Yafa) in 1940; after al-Nakba occurred he moved with his family to Khan Younis (a city in the southern Gaza Strip), where he finished his studies there, worked as a teacher, got his high school degree and joined Cairo University; graduating in 1970. Published many stories, articles and plays in Akhbar Falasteen newspaper; lives in Cairo since 1967, quit teaching in order to have time to write; waiting to return home.
